Love is not an emotion.
It's a promise.
This is one of my favorite quotes, if not the absolute one. It is simple but says so much in a few words. Love, other than hope, is the only thing that withstands the impact of war and hate. It binds the most even complex people. Love is not only that of marriage but family, friends, and also kind strangers on the street.
Remember love as a promise, not an obligation.
